The Former Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Datin Paduka Setia Dato’ Dr. Aini Ideris was a renowned leader in Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). As a premier academic figure, she has led UPM dynamically and managed to increase visibility at both the national and international levels. She is also well-known among her friends and public figures as a great and far-sighted academician.  Throughout her service, she was a dedicated mentor to many lecturers from inside and outside UPM, and had successfully led one of the best higher learning institutions in Malaysia.

As a form of appreciation and gratitude of UPM staff towards her, a special poetry anthology was produced for Prof. Datin Paduka Setia Dato’ Dr. Aini Ideris entitled "TERIMA KASIH, SRIKANDI" written by two UPM staff namely Dr. Lim Swee Tin and Mr. Zainal Abdul Kadir.

To facilitate access to this prestigious book during the Recovery Movement Control Order, UPM Press gladly took the initiative to do roadshows at every faculty to encourage UPM citizens particularly to purchase the book.
