The UPM Press Centre was crowned the Best Book Shop in the Industry Award Category while the book entitled Kuala Langat Selangor Precious was chosen the Best Coffee Table Book in the Industry Category.

The coffee table book itself was written by the Director of the UPM Press Centre himself, Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohamed Thariq Hameed Sultan, together with the Head of Section for Marketing, Puan Herzadawati Mohd. Amjah, and Puan Rathidevi Thevadas with Encik Mat Irwan Ismail.

Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Mohamed Thariq Hameed Sultan and Puan Herzadawati Mohd. Amjah received these awards from Tuan Yang Terutama Tun Seri Setia Dr. Hj. Mohd. Ali Mohd. Rustam, the Governor of Malacca. Yang Berhormat Puan Hannah Yeoh, the Minister of Youth and Sports, also came to do the same.

The 2023 National Book Award Ceremony, which was organised by the National Book Development Foundation with the Education Ministry and Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, had been held on 22 December 2023 at the Seri Pacific Hotel, Kuala Lumpur.

It is hoped that the awards and achievements received would be a motivation to all the UPM Press Centre staff to continue to give their very best and provide quality service for years to come.
